On February 12th the power will be shut off in 29 Queens Quay for 14 hours, from 8 am to 10 pm. This shut down is necessary to enable the setup of the permanent power supply for the Pier 27 Phase 3 tower, 15 Queens Quay East. The construction management team apologizes for this inconvenience and is providing advance notice to ensure that residents of 29 Queens Quay may have adequate time to prepare.
The electrical work that will be done during the power outage will permit the establishment of the permanent power supply for the Phase 3 construction site. This work is in compliance with the original Pier 27 electrical power delivery design. This permanent solution will replace the temporary setup and ensure safe, separately metered power for Phase 3.
During the power shut down emergency lights be on in the hallways, stairwells, and the lobby. 1 elevator per tower will be in service. Power will remain on in the parking garage levels.
Please reinforce that Town House residents at 29 QQE should not use ensuite elevators during this time; also there’s nothing mentioned about the need to unplug technical devices to protect them from power surges once power is turned back on – is that recommended/required?
Will there be any power outages at 39 Queens Quay? I have pets and numerous plants. I need heat. Why is this taking place when February is predicted as an extremely cold month?
