GFL is currently working on the watermain connection for Pier 27, Phase 3. The work is concentrated on Queens Quay and along the northern edge of the Phase 3 site. GFL expects the watermain work will continue for the next two weeks.
They have partially enclosed the pump that prevents the trenches dug for the watermain from filling up with water. This has mitigated the noise it makes. Unfortunately, its operation is necessary to enable this work to move forward: crews cannot work on laying water pipe if the trenches dug for them are full of water. We note too that GFL has advised that they are working with City officials to measure and mitigate noise that may or may not be generated from pump when it is working.
Interior work is progressing steadily throughout the podium and tower with drywalling, plumbing, kitchen and bathroom installation. Suites are being framed on and above the 30th floor. Suites are substantially finished through the 12th floor of the podium. Balcony glass has been installed through the 27th floor.
Work on waterproofing parking levels P3 through P1 has been rescheduled and is expected to begin on Friday, October 18. h the coming weeks.
Crews will be on site this Saturday, October 19, from 9 am to work on the interiors and conduct general housekeeping work on site.
GFL crews continue to work on installing the water main connection for Phase 3.
