We have updated information from the utilities contractors, GFL:
They advise that tonight will be the last night shift and the last day for their 24/7 emergency operation. They are completing the water-main connection this evening. GFL will be back to normal hours from tomorrow, Wednesday, December 4 onwards.
They are currently about to pouring the road base on the centre 2 lanes of Queens Quay East. GFL advises that they are on schedule to pave the road tomorrow. By end of day tomorrow the 2 centre lanes will be complete. The left turn restriction will be lifted tomorrow once the paving work is completed.
Looking Ahead: GFL still has to finish the remainder of the sanitary sewer line. This work will begin on Thursday, December 5. GFL anticipates that their work will be completed by December 20.
