All winter construction is subject to weather delays, and this past week was no exception. The crew working on the removal of the hoist–the external construction elevator–was bale to complete some initial work but high winds and cold temperatures caused them to delay much of what had been planned. Crews will be in on Saturday to resume work on the hoist removal but the bulk of the work will occur next week, again depending on suitable weather conditions. Given that uncertainty, work on the hoist may continue into the week of March 9th.
Interior work has made steady progress. Wallpaper for the main hallway has arrived and will be installed starting next week. Carpeting for the hallways will be installed stating march 9th. Drywalling is underway in the suites that were adjacent to the hoist. Otherwise drywalling is substantially complete up to and including the 34th floor. Work is also nearing completion on the showers and change rooms on the 12th floor adjacent the outdoor pool and amenity space.
Work is continuing this weekend and next week on the main floor exterior cladding and it is anticipated that it will be completed by Friday, March 6th.
Saturday Work
Staff will be on site Saturday, February 29, from 9 am to work on the hoist removal, the main floor exterior cladding, and to conduct general housekeeping work on site.
